At the top of Bidwell Park is One Mile Pool, pictured here. There is a seasonal dam placed at one end of One Mile Pool and the swimming area is cemented like a swimming pool. Hundreds of people from around the area flock to the One Mile Pool area to picnic and swim all summer.

Chico Creek runs through the park, providing lots of great spots for swimming, relaxing and having a picnic.
